UROS LIVE Arena to be powered by Tampereen Sähkölaitos

Tampereen Sähkölaitos Oy and UROS LIVE Arena have entered into an agreement on a sustainable and comprehensive energy partnership. The electricity company will supply the arena with electricity, heating and cooling as well as related services. These are produced locally using renewable methods. Tampereen Sähkölaitos is committed to the City of Tampere’s goal of being carbon neutral by 2030.

“We’re also working with the arena organisation to design a rooftop solar panel system for the UROS LIVE Arena to generate electricity. The roof’s dome shape brings its challenges and makes it a really interesting pilot project,” says Jussi Laitinen, CEO of Tampereen Sähkölaitos.

UROS LIVE will be open every day of the year, not just on event days. The area will become a true centre for experiences with the arena, numerous restaurants, a hotel and a state-of-the-art casino.

“In order to deliver great experiences and events, we need a reliable partner to provide energy, cooling and special expertise in electricity generation,” says Marko Hurme, CEO of UROS LIVE Arena.

“Tampereen Sähkölaitos offers year-round conditions that are pleasant both for the players on the ice and for the audience,” promises Jussi Laitinen.
